League completion is unsatisfying - should be able to opt out

Feedback for a better experience. I was expecting a badge of some sort after finishing at the top of the Emerald league, only to find that I now need to keep competing to stay in the Emerald league after "beating" it. On mobile, I have the option to turn off leaderboards but it doesn't seem to work, I would like to opt out of these leagues
